About this spot
Roadside Station Itsukaichi (道の駅五日市) is a roadside station lined with local farm produce and specialities from Akiruno City. Fresh vegetables, local processed goods and home-made side dishes are all on offer, making it just the right spot for morning shopping or finding snacks. There is a rest space too, suitable for a breather before heading to the valley. The car park is large, so stopping by car is smooth.

秋川橋河川公園バーベキューランドは、あきる野市の秋川渓谷にある川遊びスポットです。2026年は7月1日(水)から9月30日(水)まで、8時30分から16時まで利用でき、7月20日から8月31日は無休で楽しめます。澄んだ流れの浅瀬が広がり、石を渡ったり水しぶきをあげたりと、渓谷ならではの川遊びを満喫できます。バーベキュー設備も併設されているため、水遊びの合間に食事や休憩をとることもできます。
Tips
水はひんやりと冷たいため、日差しのある暖かい時間帯に遊ぶのがおすすめです。河原は石が多く滑りやすい場所もあるため、濡れても滑りにくい靴を用意しておくと安心です。営業終了の16時までに切り上げられるよう、時間に余裕を持って計画しましょう。
Tips
It is easy to stop at on the way to the Akigawa Valley. Mornings are relatively quiet, so you can browse the shop floor at leisure. Picking up drinks and light snacks here helps later during river play.

About 45 minutes. The quiet morning hours are recommended for an unhurried look around.
