Akikawabashi Riverside Park Barbecue Land (秋川橋河川公園バーベキューランド) is a river-play spot in the Akigawa Valley in Akiruno City. In 2026 it can be used from Wednesday 1 July to Wednesday 30 September, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., open every day from 20 July to 31 August. Clear, shallow stretches of water spread out, and you can step across stones and splash about, savouring river play unique to a valley. Barbecue facilities are also attached, so you can eat and rest between spells of water play.

Tips

The water is chilly, so playing during the warm, sunny hours is recommended. The riverbank has many stones and some slippery places, so non-slip shoes that can get wet are reassuring. Plan with time to spare so you can wrap up by the 4 p.m. closing time.

Best time to visit

Entering from around noon means warm sunshine, and the coolness of the water feels pleasant right up to closing at 4 p.m.
