Akigawa Bridge River Park BBQ Land (秋川橋河川公園バーベキューランド) is a river-play spot in the Akigawa Valley, Akiruno City. It's open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with no closing days during the summer season from July 20 to August 31 (closed on Tuesdays outside that period). Its clear, shallow current spreads out wide, letting you enjoy river play unique to the valley — crossing stones and splashing water. A barbecue facility is also attached, so you can eat and take breaks between water play sessions.

Tips

Since the water is quite cold, it's best to play during the warmer hours when the sun is out. The riverbank has many stones and some slippery spots, so it's reassuring to bring shoes that won't slip when wet. Plan with some time to spare so you can wrap up by closing time at 4:00 p.m.

Best time to visit

Entering from around noon means warm sunshine, and even by the 4:00 p.m. closing time the cold water still feels refreshing.
