Roka Koshunen Park (蘆花恒春園) is a green park laid out on the site of the residence where the writer Tokutomi Roka spent his later years. Copses that preserve the character of the old Musashino landscape and the former house where Roka lived remain, and simply strolling brings a settled feeling. There is also a wide lawn area with ample space for children to run around. Before the pool, it makes a pleasant morning spent at leisure in touch with greenery.
Tips
It is within walking distance of Hachimanyama Station or Roka-Koen Station on the Keio Line, an easy location to reach. Many of the paths in the grounds are paved, a welcome point that makes walking with a stroller easy. Some areas have little shade in summer, so bringing a hat is reassuring.
Best time to visit
About 1 hour 15 minutes. The cool morning hours are perfect for strolling.
