River play in the stream pool and on the water slide until evening
About this spot
Gonokawa Canoe Park Sakugi (江の川カヌー公園さくぎ) is a Hiroshima prefectural park laid out along the Gono River (江の川) in Koyodo, Sakugi-cho, Miyoshi City, Hiroshima Prefecture. It opens without a rest day during the summer holidays, from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. (closed on Tuesdays outside the peak season). The stream pool, which uses the flow of the Gono River, is shallow, so even small children can enjoy the water safely. The water slide, available from 1 June to the end of September, is the headline attraction and popular with older children and adults alike. In a clear stream surrounded by the Chugoku Mountains, it is the climax of a day for making summer memories as a whole family.
