Seseragi Waterside Park Wading Pool & Stream (せせらぎ親水公園 水遊びプール・小川) is a free water play area in Higashi-machi, Misawa City. The park has two shallow wading pools that even small children can enjoy, and because both use tap water there is a reassurance you do not get from a river or a pond. Besides the pools a small stream runs through, and the way it invites a different kind of play, wading through the water or moving stones aside, is what makes this park good. In summer it is a well-known local water play spot bustling with children. There is a multipurpose restroom, a drinking fountain, a gazebo and benches, so you will never be stuck for a place to change or rest. The 2026 opening period has not been announced yet; in most years the water is filled to coincide with the summer holidays. Check the Misawa City information for that day's status before you leave. The pools are shallow, but never take your eyes off small children. Shade is mainly the gazebo and the space under the trees, so on crowded days a picnic sheet or a pop-up tent makes resting easier. There is a drinking fountain, but bring plenty of drinks and take frequent breaks. You can change in the multipurpose restroom, but a poncho-style towel is reassuring when it is busy.
