About this spot

This is Ebetsu's central library, located in the Oasa district. A generous amount of space is given to the children's book corner, and children can wander the shelves at their own pace, from picture books to illustrated encyclopedias. Local history materials on Ebetsu and Hokkaido are also available, so looking up together how the tondenhei pioneer soldiers opened up this land, and how it grew as a brick-making town, is an enjoyable way to spend the time. The building is quiet and air-conditioned, making it just the right place for a morning of strong sunshine. It is also welcome that you can save energy for the afternoon water play.
