The Ebetsu Ekimae Park (江別駅前公園) Water Play Area is a free water play spot right beside JR Ebetsu Station (江別駅). The 2026 opening dates have not been announced yet, but the pool is usually filled in time for the summer school holidays. The water is shallow, so even a child who has only just started walking can dip their feet and play. Above all, being a short walk from the station is a big advantage, and coming out by train from the direction of Sapporo without using a car is something unique to this park. Even when everyone is worn out from playing, the way home is short, which makes planning easy for families with small children. Admission is free, so you can let them play as long as they like without watching the clock.

Tips

Opening conditions vary from year to year, so check this year's dates in the Ebetsu City information before you leave. Changing space is limited, so putting swimwear on under clothes makes getting ready on site much easier. Because it stands right in front of the station, the road begins immediately outside the park. Keep small children in sight at all times. The wind can pick up in the evening and chill you, so bring an extra layer and plenty of dry towels to be safe.
