A district library in Higashi-Sapporo, Shiroishi Ward, within walking distance of the water play area. The children's section is well stocked, and the good part is that kids can browse the shelves with their own hands and choose a book according to that day's mood. Because it is indoors, it also works nicely as a place to spend a cool morning before the sun gets strong. Building the day so that summer-vacation research gets done here before heading out to play changes how satisfying the whole day feels.
