The Kamui no Mori Park Water Plaza (wading pool) in Kamui no Mori Park in Asahikawa City is a water play area that is free to use. In 2026 it is open from Monday, June 1 to Monday, August 31, from 10:00 to 17:00. A fountain is combined with a shallow wading pool, so children can both run around in the spray and quietly touch the water. The wading pool is shallow, so even small children who cannot swim yet can walk in on their own two feet. The indoor playground Wakuwaku Egg is in the same park, and having a cool room to retreat to when everyone tires out is reassuring. Restrooms and a large parking lot are in place, so changing clothes and handling gear is no trouble.

Tips

Closing is at 17:00. Allowing time to change and pack up, get out of the water around 16:45. The fountain may be stopped on some days depending on the weather, water temperature or maintenance work, so check the official information for that day before you set out. Shade is limited at certain hours, so a hat and sunscreen are essential. Children who are not yet toilet trained should wear swim diapers.
