Yamaman Yukarigaoka Line

About this spot

This is a small new-transit system that circles the town of Yukarigaoka, a rarity even nationwide. It runs on an elevated track, so the viewpoint is high and you can look out over houses, fields and distant greenery; simply riding it feels like a small journey. A full loop brings you back in a short time, which is just right for little ones who finish before they get bored. Train-loving children will be delighted, and for adults too it is an interesting experience to look down on a 「town built to a plan」 from above. The air-conditioned cars are also a help for spending a morning coolly before the sun grows strong.

佐倉市の七井戸公園にある、夏季限定で開放される無料の水遊び場「七井戸公園噴水の水遊び」です。2026年のシーズンは7月1日(水)から8月31日(月)まで。開放時間は公式に記載がないため、当日は佐倉市の案内で状況を確かめてから出かけてください。清掃日(7/9・7/16・7/23・7/30・8/6・8/12・8/20)は利用できず、清掃後2日から3日は水が溜まりにくい場合があります。雨不足のときも水が溜まりにくくなるため、しばらく雨が降っていない時期は事前確認が欠かせません。料金は無料なので、短時間だけ立ち寄る使い方もでき、近所のおでかけ先として気軽に選べるのが魅力です。

Tips

清掃日は水が出ないので、日程を組む前にカレンダーで確認しておきましょう。清掃の翌日や翌々日も水位が上がりきらないことがあるため、確実に遊びたいなら清掃日から数日空けるのが安心です。更衣室は期待せず、着替えは車の中や日陰で済ませる想定で準備してください。水分は多めに持参し、木陰で休憩をはさみながら遊びましょう。

Tips

It is reassuring to check in advance whether transit IC cards can be used for the fare as well as cash. Service frequency changes with the time of day, so checking the timetable before you board cuts down on waiting. Folding your stroller before boarding makes it easier to move about inside the car. Since the loop returns you to the same station, it is easy to travel even while carrying your bags.
