Tokyo German Village Seseragi Stream
About this spot
This is the Tokyo German Village Seseragi Stream, a water play spot running through the grounds of Tokyo German Village. It is a brook about 85 m long fed by groundwater, and because it flows right beside the lawn plaza, moving back and forth between playing and resting is easy, which is a great advantage. It is not partitioned like a swimming pool, so children can find their own ways to play: walking along the current, damming the water, floating leaves. Since it runs through an open spot on top of a hill, the breeze comes through and it stays pleasant even after you get out of the water. Admission is charged, the 2026 opening period has not been announced, and in most years the water flows during the summer holidays.
Season & hours
Name: 東京ドイツ村 せせらぎ
Date & time: 開設期間は未発表 (例年は夏休み期間)
Venue: 袖ケ浦市・東京ドイツ村
Tips
Because the opening period has not been announced, check the official website for that day's water status before you set out. Admission and parking fees can change, so check the latest amounts at the same time. The streambed and stones are slippery, so water shoes or sandals are safer than bare feet. Shade is limited, so bring a leisure sheet and a hat and drink water often. Children who are not yet out of nappies should wear swim nappies.
Best time to visit
About 2 hours 10 minutes. The afternoon is recommended, when the sunlight softens and a breeze picks up
