A hub for interaction between residents and visitors, adjacent to the Iwatsuki Doll Museum. Information on Iwatsuki's sights and events is gathered here, making it a handy stop before or after walking the town. In addition to a hall and meeting rooms, there is space to rest, which is a relief when you need a breather on a midsummer afternoon. Exhibitions and events fitting the town of dolls are sometimes held, so even just passing through gives you a feel for Iwatsuki. It is close to both Urakoji Park and Iwatsuki Station, so it sits in just the right position as a waypoint on this course.

さいたま市岩槻区の裏小路公園にある「裏小路公園ミスト噴水」です。稼働は例年7月中旬から9月下旬まで(2026年は7月15日(水)頃〜9月30日(水)頃)、9:00〜17:10の時間帯です。毎時00分から10分間ミストが出るしくみなので、時計を見ながら「あと何分」と待つ時間そのものが子どもたちの楽しみになります(清掃等により利用できない場合あり)。利用は無料で、広場と一体になったミスト噴水のため、水着でなくても霧を浴びて涼めるのが大きな特徴。着替えの手間が少なく、町歩きのついでに立ち寄れる気軽さがこの水遊び場の魅力です。岩槻の城下町を歩いたあとの締めくくりにぴったりの場所です。

Tips

ミストが出るのは毎時00分から10分間だけなので、到着時刻を逆算しておくと待ち時間が短くて済みます。清掃等により利用できない場合があるため、さいたま市公園緑地協会の案内で当日の状況を確認しておくと安心です。霧でも意外としっかり濡れるので、着替えとタオルは用意しておきましょう。地面が濡れて滑りやすくなるので、走り回るときは足元に注意してください。
