About this spot

A general park in the Shikishima district of Kai City (甲斐市), where family-friendly play equipment and open spaces are laid out alongside sports facilities such as an athletics stadium and a baseball field. Getting the body moving first thing in the morning makes the indoor time that follows much calmer. The grounds are undulating, so children look satisfied just running up and down the slopes. There are plenty of trees, so you can pick a shady spot to rest. It is about 10 minutes by car to Futaba Waterside Park, making it a perfect stop to open the day.

双葉水辺公園じゃぶじゃぶ池は、甲斐市の釜無川河畔に広がる公園の水遊び場です。深さのない浅い池なので、歩き始めたばかりの子でも保護者と一緒に安心して入れます。公園には大きなティラノサウルスの恐竜遊具「フタバちゃん」がそびえ、スプリング遊具や健康遊具、芝生広場、あずまやもそろっているので、水から上がったあとの遊び場にも困りません。バーベキュー用のかまどが3基あり、事前申請すれば火を使った食事も楽しめます。自動販売機では紙おむつとおしりふきが買えるので、赤ちゃん連れでも心強い公園です。川沿いの開けた景色のなかで、のびのびと夏の午後を過ごせます。

料金は無料です。じゃぶじゃぶ池の開設期間は未発表(例年は夏休み期間)なので、出発前に甲斐市の公式ページ(https://www.city.kai.yamanashi.jp/page/4586.html)で必ず確認してください。公園自体はいつでも利用できます。日差しをさえぎるものが少ないので、あずまやを早めに確保するかテントを持参すると快適です。バーベキュー用かまどの利用には事前申請が必要です。河川敷が近いため、増水時や雨のあとは無理をせず引き返す判断を。

Tips

Admission is free and there is a parking lot. The parking lot gets crowded on days with tournaments or events, so leave with time to spare. Preparing drinks in advance gives peace of mind.
