The playground area of Sakana Park has a long slide and a ropeway-style structure, letting children move about in a pleasant setting surrounded by trees. Plenty of shade means play stays relatively cool even at the height of summer, which is a hallmark of this park. At the park's Forest Learning Center, exhibits teach about the nature at the foot of Mount Fuji and the water cycle, revealing where the spring water you saw at Oshino Hakkai (忍野八海) in the morning comes from. Benches are scattered around, so resting after lunch is easy. Moving about here before the water play makes the cold spring water feel just right.

さかな公園じゃぶじゃぶ池は、富士山の湧水を利用した無料の水遊び場です。湧水そのものなので水がとても澄んでいて、真夏でもひんやりと冷たいのが最大の特徴。暑い日に足を入れた瞬間の「つめたい」という歓声が、この公園の夏の風物詩です。池のまわりには小さな滝や小川、観察池が配されていて、水の流れをたどりながら生きものを探す遊びもできます。公園は9:00〜17:00、園内広場は9:30〜17:00の開園で、夏季の7月21日から8月31日までは全日開園。長い滑り台やロープウェイ型の遊具がある遊具エリア、森の学習館、そして山梨県立富士湧水の里水族館も同じ敷地にあるので、1日を通して過ごせます。

Tips

料金は無料です。じゃぶじゃぶ池の開設期間は未発表なので、出発前に忍野村の公式ページ(https://www.vill.oshino.lg.jp/site/kanko/1615.html)で必ず確認してください。湧水は真夏でもかなり冷たいので、体が冷えたらすぐに上がれるようバスタオルと羽織るものを用意しておきましょう。標高が高く朝夕は涼しいため、長袖が1枚あると安心です。池の底には石があるのでマリンシューズが安全です。夏季の7月21日〜8月31日は全日開園ですが、それ以外の時期は休園日があるため事前確認を。

Tips

Use is free. The park grounds are open 9:30-17:00. Insects appear among the trees, so repellent makes things more comfortable. For lunch, either eat at a restaurant near Oshino Hakkai (忍野八海) or bring a packed lunch and eat on a bench in the park - both keep the day flowing.
