Yoro Park Gifu Prefecture Children's Land Kids Pool and Fountain
About this spot
This is the free water-play spot known as the Kids Pool and Fountain at Gifu Prefecture Children's Land, inside Yoro Park in Yoro Town, Yoro District. The 300-square-meter gourd-shaped kids pool runs from Saturday, August 1 to Monday, August 31, 2026, and is divided into a 30 cm deep section for toddlers and a 60 cm deep section for lower-grade elementary schoolchildren. It is open to children from the age they are out of diapers up to third grade, so you can let them play with peace of mind according to age and development. The fountain area in Nakayoshi Plaza opens from July 4, so even in July before the pool opens you can enjoy playing with water. The park also has large play equipment, and the appeal of this place is that you can move freely between water and playground and rest in the tree shade when tired. Admission is free, so even combined with the morning walk to the falls, the day's spending stays low.

Tips
The kids pool is for children from the age they are out of diapers up to third grade; children who still need diapers cannot use it. The pool is not open during July, so plan on playing at the fountain in Nakayoshi Plaza. Check the opening hours and whether it is running that day on the official website and the on-site notices. Admission is free but parking is paid, so bringing small change is reassuring. Do not count on changing rooms; putting swimwear on under clothes before you leave makes things smooth. Shade is limited, so do not forget a picnic sheet, hats, and plenty of drinks.
Best time to visit
Roughly 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm. After 3:00 pm the sunlight softens as the sun lowers, and the crowds settle down
