This museum in Ibigawa Town conveys the history of the area and the lives of its people. Since this is a land that has enjoyed the blessings of the great Ibi River while facing repeated floods, the tools and materials connected to the river catch the eye. Looking at old farming and household implements, you sense how people got along with water in an age without electricity or running water. The exhibits are compact, small enough for young children to complete a circuit before losing interest. Considering that the water in the afternoon's fountain plaza also traces back to this river basin, the way you see the water play shifts a little.

揖斐郡揖斐川町のいびがわゆめパーク To・Le・Mo にある無料の水遊び場「いびがわゆめパーク To・Le・Mo 噴水広場」です。季節限定で稼働し、4月下旬から9月末までは10:00から15:00、7月下旬から8月末までは9:00から16:00に水が出ます。噴水は運転と停止を繰り返すので、止まっているあいだに広場の真ん中で待ち構え、吹き上がった瞬間に走り込むのが子どもたちの定番の遊び方です。プールのように水がたまる場所ではないため、まだ水を怖がる小さな子でも自分のペースで近づけます。すぐそばに大型コンビネーション遊具「わんぱくバレー」とボルダリングがあり、水にぬれたり乾かしたりを繰り返しながら長く遊べます。山あいの町ならではの澄んだ空気の中で、思いきり体を動かせる場所です。

Tips

水遊び広場では履物の持参と着用が必要です。裸足では入れないので、水遊び用サンダルやマリンシューズを必ず用意してください。更衣室はありません。水着を服の下に着てから出かけ、帰りは車内やタオルで手早く着替えられるようにしておきましょう。雨天や強風時は噴水が停止します。4月下旬から9月末の期間は15:00で稼働が終わるので、この時間を目安に片づけを始めると余裕をもって帰れます。日陰が少ないため、帽子と多めの飲み物を忘れずに。

Tips

Check the admission fee and opening days on the town's official website in advance. The museum has closed days, so a check before you leave is recommended. It is quiet inside, so telling small children beforehand about keeping their voices down makes things easier.
