Fountain Plaza, Ibigawa Yume Park To / Le / Mo

About this spot

This is the free water play area at Ibigawa Yume Park To / Le / Mo in Ibigawa Town, Ibi District. It runs seasonally: water flows from 10:00 to 15:00 between late April and the end of September, and from 9:00 to 16:00 between late July and the end of August. The fountain alternates between running and stopping, so the classic way children play is to wait in the middle of the plaza during the pause and dash in the moment it shoots up. Water does not pool here as it would in a pool, so even small children still wary of water can approach at their own pace. The large combination play structure Wanpaku Valley and the bouldering wall are right beside it, so children can keep playing for hours, getting wet and drying off in turns. In the clear air of a mountain town, it is a place to move your body to the fullest.

Tips

Footwear must be brought and worn in the water play plaza. Bare feet are not allowed, so be sure to prepare water sandals or marine shoes. There are no changing rooms. Wear swimwear under clothes before you leave, and set things up so you can change quickly in the car or with a towel on the way home. The fountain stops in rain or strong wind. During the late April to end of September period operation ends at 15:00, so using that time as your cue to start packing up leaves plenty of margin for the trip home. Shade is scarce, so do not forget a hat and plenty to drink.
