This art museum stands on the highlands of Yoshiwa in Hatsukaichi City. The setting itself, surrounded by deep forest, is a pleasure, and even the short walk from the car park to the entrance is enough to notice the difference in the air. Inside are paintings, glass crafts and ceramics, and the quiet space lets you take your time with each work. Being indoors with air conditioning also makes it a good place to settle down after driving the mountain roads. Mominoki Forest Park is only a short drive away, so this is a perfect first stop of the morning.

広島県立もみのき森林公園流れの遊び場は、浅瀬の池に冷たい山水が流れ込む水遊び場です。高原を流れてきた水はとても冷たく、足を入れた瞬間に「つめたい!」と声が出るほど。真夏の暑さがすっと引いていく感覚は、この場所でしか味わえないものです。水深が浅いので、水がこわい小さな子でも自分のペースで少しずつ慣れていけます。まわりに木陰が多く、遊び疲れたらすぐに日差しを避けて休めるのも安心なところ。入園は無料で、水遊びにもお金はかかりません。

2026年の開設期間は未発表です。出発前に公式サイトで開設状況を確認してください。山水はとても冷たいので、長く入りすぎないよう休憩をはさみましょう。唇の色が変わったら上がる合図です。池の底には石があるため、脱げにくいサンダルかマリンシューズを用意してください。着替えの場所が限られるので、水着を服の下に着ていくとスムーズです。高原は夕方から急に冷えるので、羽織るものとタオルを多めに持っていくと安心です。

Check opening days, closed days and admission fees on the official website. There is a period in winter when it closes. Eating and drinking are not allowed inside, so have your drinks outside. The route passes along mountain roads, so allow plenty of time when driving. After leaving the museum, get your lunch and drinks ready before heading to the park.
