Tokushima Tsukimigaoka Seaside Park Kids Plaza Splash Pond

About this spot

The Tokushima Tsukimigaoka Seaside Park Kids Plaza Splash Pond is a free water-play area inside a roughly 140,000-square-meter seaside park spreading south of Tokushima Airport. Within the same Kids Plaza stands the Fluffy Dome, a white dome-shaped trampoline, so children chilled by the water can move around and warm back up, a combination unique to this place. Play structures for small children and the Forest of Play structures for upper-grade elementary schoolers stand alongside, so siblings of different ages can each find their own place to play. With the sea nearby and the breeze passing through, it feels cooler than an inland park, a big advantage in summer. The grounds have a lawn plaza, a sports plaza, a day-camp site, barbecue facilities, the Otsukimi Village cottages and a visitor center, so you can fill the time after the water play without leaving the park. In the evening the sky over the sea takes on color, so pausing for a short look at the view before heading home is also recommended.

Tips

The 2026 operating period has not been announced. Neither the park's official website nor Matsushige Town has published the dates, so be sure to check the on-site operating status before you set out. Use is free. The Fluffy Dome gets slippery if you climb on while still wet, so dry off before getting up on it. Check on site whether changing rooms and showers are available; a towel poncho makes changing easier. The sun is strong by the sea, so reapply sunscreen frequently.

Best time to visit

About 2 hours 30 minutes. After 2 p.m., when the sun eases a little, is the most comfortable time
