The Nakane Park Splash Pond and Stream is a free water play area in Nakane Park (中根公園) in Meguro Ward. In 2026 it operates from Wednesday, July 1 to Wednesday, September 30, from 9:00 to 16:30; the ward's official wording is from the first week of July until around the end of September. Set in a residential neighborhood within walking distance of Toritsu-Daigaku Station (都立大学駅) on the Tokyu Toyoko Line, it is a summer staple for local children. The water is disinfected and managed with chlorine and similar treatments, and the stream is built shallow, so even small children who have just started walking can make their way on their own feet. There is also a playground plaza in the park, so it is easy to switch to other play once everyone is out of the water. Admission is free, so you can head over casually depending on the weather.
