About this spot

This is the free water play spot 'Minuma-no-Sato 2000-Nen Kinen-no-Mori Splash Square' inside Minuma-no-Sato 2000-Nen Kinen-no-Mori in Mizuma, Kurume City. Fountains shoot up water from five spots, and in 2026 it is open from Saturday, July 18 to Sunday, September 13, from 10:00 to 15:45. According to Kurume City's guidance, the opening period is generally from mid-July to mid-September each year. What makes this plaza great is that children can find their own ways to play, such as dashing through the fountains or waiting for the water to pause before running in again. Since the giant combination play structure and the spacious lawn are right nearby, you can spend the whole day moving back and forth between water play and outdoor play. The parking lot holds about 280 cars, so you can visit comfortably by car.

Tips

Swimwear is required. Be sure to bring enough changes of clothes and towels for everyone. The opening conditions may change depending on the weather, so check Kurume City's guidance before you set out. Since it closes at 15:45, getting out of the water a bit after 15:20, allowing time to change, gives you some margin. Take breaks in the shade often and remember to stay hydrated.

Best time to visit

About 2 hours. The afternoon, when the sunlight softens, is recommended
