About this spot

Oizai Park Pool is an outdoor pool inside Oizai Park in Oita City, open in 2026 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, from Monday, July 20 to Sunday, August 30. It consists of a 50m x 20m main pool (1.0-1.2m deep) and a 0.4m-deep kiddie pool, so both kids who want to swim and little ones just starting to get used to the water can each enjoy their own space. Best of all, admission is free. Since you can visit as many times as you like throughout summer vacation, it has become an irreplaceable place for children in the local community. Being inside a park, you can also rest in the shade of the trees after getting out of the water.

Tips

The pool will be temporarily closed from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM on August 3 due to rising water temperature. If you're visiting that day, plan to wrap up earlier. Since admission is free, afternoons during summer vacation can get crowded. Make it a habit to hydrate during lifeguard break times. Whether a concession stand is available depends on operations, so it's safer to bring your own drinks and snacks. Check Oita City's official website for the latest operating information.
