The outdoor pool Iruma City Sports Park Pool (入間市運動公園プール), located within Iruma City Sports Park, is open in 2026 from Saturday, July 18 to Sunday, August 30. Hours are 10:00 to 17:00, with last entry at 16:30 and last swim at 16:50. The main attraction is the 50-meter general pool, with a depth that gradually increases from 80cm to 150cm, making it easy to use both for elementary schoolers practicing swimming and adults who want to wade through the water. A separate shallow pool for preschoolers, 45-70cm deep, is also available, so young children can play in an area suited to their height. Admission is 300 yen for adults, 200 yen for junior/senior high school students, and 100 yen for elementary school students. Coin lockers cost 50 yen. Surrounded by the greenery of the sports park, it's an open, summer-vacation-worthy day out.

Last entry is at 16:30 and the last swim is at 16:50, so if you're arriving in the afternoon, plan backward from those times. Coin lockers require a 50-yen coin, so it's smoother to have one ready in advance. The pool may close due to weather or temperature, so check the day's opening status before heading out. On days with strong sunlight, it's more comfortable to secure a resting spot near the shallow pool early.

Best time to visit

If you enter at 13:00, you'll have about 3 hours 45 minutes until the last swim. After 15:00, the sunlight softens, making it more comfortable to swim.
