Hirobaru Children's Pool is an outdoor pool for children in Miyazaki City that, in 2026, is open from Thursday, July 23 to Monday, August 24, from 10am to 12pm. It measures 10 meters by 20 meters, with two depth levels of 30cm and 50cm. Because the shallow areas are clearly divided, even small children just starting out with water play can stand and play on their own feet. Admission is free, so being able to visit as many times as you like over summer vacation is a welcome feature for families. As a gathering spot for local children, naturally meeting neighborhood friends there is also one of the charms unique to a children's pool. With opening hours limited to two hours in the morning, you can focus on concentrated play in that short window.

Tips

It's closed on Wednesdays and from August 13 to 15. Check the official Miyazaki City page for the day's opening status and hours before heading out. Since there are stretches with little shade, use a rash guard and hat as sun protection. Lifeguard breaks are sometimes scheduled, so use that time to have your child hydrate. Since it closes at noon, having lunch arranged nearby makes for a smooth transition.

Best time to visit

About 1 hour 50 minutes. Arriving right at opening lets you play straight through until closing.
