Nasunogahara Park Family Pool is an outdoor pool open from Thursday, July 23 to Sunday, August 23, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. (last entry 4 p.m.). It features a water slide, a lazy river, and a wading pool for young children, so siblings of different ages can each find a spot to play. Set inside a prefectural park, it's surrounded by greenery, giving it the appealing openness of playing in the water amid a grove of trees. A concession stand and rental gear are available, so you won't be at a loss even if you come nearly empty-handed. Admission is 1,400 yen for adults and high school students, 600 yen for elementary and junior high school students, and 300 yen for young children (age 3 and up). Spending time in the cool air characteristic of the Nasu highlands is a pleasure unique to this spot.

Tips

Last entry is 4 p.m., so leave enough time if you're heading over in the afternoon. Summer weekends get crowded, so claim a spot right after entering. Being in the highlands, temperatures can drop in the evening, so it's a good idea to bring extra layers and towels. The water slide may have a height restriction, so check in advance.

Entering at 1 p.m. gives you a full 4 hours to play until closing at 5 p.m.
