About this spot

This open-air museum within Izumi no Mori (泉の森) preserves relocated Edo-period farmhouses representative of the Yamato City area. You can look inside houses with thatched roofs and hearths (irori), letting you and your children get a feel for old-time daily life. Admission is free.

Tips

Open 9:00-16:00, free admission. Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays (if a holiday falls on those days, it's closed the following weekday instead), so please check the day of the week if visiting on a weekday.
