Kanagawa Prefectural Fisheries Technology Center Freshwater Experiment Station (神奈川県水産技術センター内水面試験場)
Flow of the course
About this spot
A Kanagawa prefectural experiment station on the banks of the Sagami River that studies river and lake fish. The visitor walkway is open on weekdays (Monday-Friday) 9:00-16:00, and admission is free. You can take your time observing the river fish raised in the rearing ponds and tanks in the quiet environment unique to a research facility. There are no flashy shows, but that lets you stop in front of each tank and engage with how the fish swim and live. Come as a family and taste the atmosphere of a real working research site, a flavor quite different from an aquarium.
