About this spot

A Tamagawa-pear orchard in Noborito, Tama Ward, Kawasaki City, listed as a Tamagawa-pear picking orchard by JA Ceresa Kawasaki (JAセレサ川崎). Varieties you can pick include Kosui, Hosui, Nijisseiki, Chojuro, and Kikusui. The same varieties are also sold at the orchard's direct-sales stand. Picking for the general public is limited to Saturdays and Sundays (groups can also visit on weekdays with a reservation). About a 7-minute walk from Mukogaoka-Yuen Station (向ヶ丘遊園駅) on the Odakyu Line and Noborito Station (登戸駅) on the JR Nambu Line, this orchard is easy to reach by train.

Tips

Business days, reception hours, and prices change depending on how the fruit is growing, so please always check by phone (044-900-3752) before you go. Since the Tamagawa pear harvest season is short, it is a good idea to ask which varieties are in season before you start picking.

Best time to visit

Weekend afternoons. It is recommended to carry freshly picked pears home in a cooler bag.
