About this spot

A free botanical garden in Mutsukawa (六ツ川), Minami Ward (南区), Yokohama. The roughly 3-hectare grounds include a flower bed and rose garden, a wild-plant garden, an orchard corner, and a medicinal-herb garden, and you can also encounter plants with stories behind them, such as Newton's apple tree and Mendel's grapevine. Open 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. It is a great spot for parents and children to observe how fruit ripens before heading off to pick pears.

Tips

Closed on the third Monday of every month (or the following day if that is a public holiday). In summer, it is more comfortable to stroll while staying in the shade of the trees.
