About this spot

An orchard belonging to the Mikan-Picking Association, whose secretariat is run by the Miura City Agricultural Cooperative (三浦市農協). Here you can enjoy mikan picking on slopes close to the sea. The season typically runs from October 15 to November 30, and the orchard closes on rainy days. Admission is 1,200 yen for elementary school age and up, 900 yen for younger children, and free for age 2 and under, all including all-you-can-eat picking plus about 1 kg of mikan to take home (groups get a 50-yen discount). Miura mikan grown in the sea breeze rarely make it to market, making this a flavor unique to the season. Parking is available.

Tips

Open 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with reception closing at 2:30 p.m. Since the orchard closes on rainy days, check the opening status in advance if the weather looks uncertain. Mikan juice can get your hands sticky, so wet wipes come in handy.
