About this spot

This observation facility, set up on the Daikoku Pier (大黒ふ頭) side of Yokohama Bay Bridge (横浜ベイブリッジ), offers views over Yokohama Port (横浜港) from a walkway along the bridge called 《Sky Promenade》(スカイプロムナード). It is open free of charge from 11:00 to 18:00 on weekends and holidays, excluding the New Year holiday period. On days when large cruise ships dock at Daikoku Pier (大黒ふ頭), you may also be able to see them up close. The entrance is inside Daikoku Pier West Green Space (大黒ふ頭西緑地), where you can use the green space's free parking.

Tips

It is open only on weekends and holidays. Please check the Yokohama City Port and Harbor Bureau (横浜市港湾局) website for the latest opening days. It can be windy over the water on some days, so be careful your hat does not blow away.

Best time to visit

Early afternoon. Enjoy the panoramic harbor view while it is still light out.
