About this spot

This green space spreads out at the foot of Yokohama Bay Bridge (横浜ベイブリッジ) and is a night-view spot offering a sweeping view of the bridge and the Minato Mirai (みなとみらい) area lights across the water. The convenience of free parking (about 40 spaces) right within the green space, letting you reach the waterfront as soon as you park, is a big draw. As the sun sets, the bridge lights come on, and you can leisurely enjoy the sight of the harbor lights shimmering on the water's surface.

Tips

The area around the pier has few people and gets dark at night, so keep an eye on your children and check your footing while it is still light. There are few restrooms and shops nearby, so it is a good idea to bring your own drinks.

Best time to visit

Around sunset. The Bay Bridge is most photogenic while some blue still remains in the sky.
