About this spot

This astronomical science museum is equipped with an 81cm-aperture, 6-ton main telescope (Newtonian-Cassegrain type), said to be one of the largest municipally owned telescopes in Japan. Night observation sessions are held on Fridays and Saturdays from 19:00 to 21:30, weather permitting. Admission is 200 yen for adults, 100 yen for junior and senior high school students, and 50 yen for elementary school students. On the third Sunday of every month, 'Family Day', admission is free.
