About this spot

An observatory at the summit of Mount Chuo, at an elevation of 319 m. About a 10-minute walk from Yoake Road (夜明道路) leads to a 360-degree panorama overlooking the surrounding islands. Just before the observatory, the remains of a former Japanese military radar base can still be seen.

Tips

Some sections of the walking trail are unpaved, so wear comfortable walking shoes.
