About this spot

A full-scale observation dome equipped with a 50cm Newtonian telescope. Located on a high-elevation plateau in Yamato Town, where few streetlights make for excellent star visibility. No reservation is needed for the stargazing session, but it may be canceled due to weather conditions.

Season & hours

Tips

The session takes about 40-50 minutes. The observatory is open until 22:00, but entry to the grounds after that time is not permitted, except for overnight guests.

After sunset, from around 19:30
