About this spot

A museum located near the summit of Mt. Kongo at an elevation of about 1,000m. The star-viewing deck has a 400mm-diameter reflecting telescope, and night stargazing sessions are held 1-2 times a month except in winter.

Tips

The Osaka Prefectural Mt. Kongo Trailhead Parking Lot is available from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Please wrap up before 9:00 PM so you can descend before it closes. Check the official website for the event dates, fees, and whether reservation is required.
