About this spot

Completed in 1863, this is Japan's newest castle and a rare 'sea castle,' with stone walls facing the ocean on three sides. Original structures such as the Kedashi Gate still remain, and you can take a leisurely walk along the moat.

Tips

The grounds also include the Goto Tourism and History Museum (admission fee applies).
