About this spot

A public observatory established by Iide Town. It features a 40cm-aperture Cassegrain reflecting telescope with a system that can automatically point to the star you want to see. The facility is also designed with accessibility for visitors with disabilities in mind.

Tips

A phone reservation (0238-87-1758) at least 8 days in advance is required to visit; same-day reservations are not accepted. Closed on Sundays, Mondays, and public holidays; open April through November. Whether nighttime visits are available depends on the availability of volunteer staff.
