About this spot

Sukayu Campground, located on a highland at an elevation of about 900m within Towada-Hachimantai National Park. Adjacent to Sukayu Onsen, it's described on the official website as having a “sky so full of stars it looks like it could spill over.” It operates from early June to late October.

Tips

Vehicles are, in principle, prohibited from entering or leaving after 9pm. Be sure to finish setting up and checking in by 21:00. Auto sites allow up to one vehicle per plot, while free sites and fixed sites do not allow vehicle entry.
