出雲市大社町杵築南にある一畑電車大社線の終着駅です。昭和五年に建てられた洋風の駅舎は国の登録有形文化財で、丸みのある屋根とステンドグラスが印象的です。駅を出るとすぐ神門通りにつながり、出雲大社の鳥居まで歩いてすぐの距離です。
