益田市高津町にある神社で、万葉歌人の柿本人麻呂をまつっています。人麻呂は益田で生涯を終えたと伝えられ、この地では学問と安産の神として信仰を集めてきました。高台の境内には桧皮葺の本殿と楼門が建ち、参道の石段を上りきると益田の市街地を見わたせます。周囲は万葉公園として整備され、四季折々の草花を見ながら散策できます。
