JR山口線が通る山口市阿東の駅です。徳佐りんごの産地の真ん中にあり、駅から歩いてすぐの範囲に複数のりんご園が並んでいます。阿東は県内でも標高が高い盆地で、昼と夜の気温差が大きいことが果物づくりに向いた土地です。秋には周囲の山が色づき、駅のホームからでも季節の移ろいが感じられます。
Tips
りんご園は駅から徒歩5分なので、列車で訪ねることもできます。列車の本数は多くないため帰りの時刻も確認しておきましょう。
