柳之御所史跡公園に隣接する展示施設で、世界文化遺産「平泉」の価値をわかりやすく紹介しています。奥州藤原氏の歴史や浄土思想にもとづくまちづくりについて、映像や模型で学べるので、中尊寺を訪れる前の予習にぴったりです。
Tips
開館時間は4月〜10月が9:00〜17:00、11月〜3月が9:00〜16:30(最終入館は閉館30分前)。入館料は一般320円です。
