長元3年(1030年)創建と伝わる川越の総鎮守のひとつです。ご神木「夫婦イチョウ」は2本の木が根元でつながったように育つ縁結びの木として知られ、参道にはヤマモミジ・キイロモミジ・ノムラモミジが植えられています。見頃は例年11月下旬から12月上旬とされています(2026年の色づき状況は公式サイトでご確認ください)。
