京王線高尾線の終着駅で、高尾山登山の玄関口です。木材を生かした設計の駅舎が特徴で、駅前広場から緩やかな坂道を歩いて約5分(約300メートル)でケーブルカーの清滝駅に着きます。

紅葉シーズンの週末は駅も参道も混み合うので、午前の早い時間に出発するのがおすすめです。
