Exploration of Ogosezawa Mine and Oyu Stone Circle in Kazuno
A day of exploration in Kazuno City, Akita Prefecture, hopping between the "underground" and "ancient times." First, prepare for your trip at Michi-no-Eki Kazuno Antraa, then head to the historic Ogosezawa Mine, one of Japan's largest mining ruins. Walk through the approximately 1.7 km tunnel as if wearing a helmet, and both children and adults will be mesmerized by the cool underground world. In the afternoon, travel to the Jomon heritage sites, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage, learn at the Oyu Stone Circle Museum, and then come face-to-face with the actual Oyu Stone Circle. The finale is a sweeping panorama of Lake Towada from Hakka Pass Observation Platform. This adventure course is perfect for families with adventure-loving elementary school children.
