Onna: Manzamo and Busena Marine Park—Spectacular Resort Coastal Tour
This is a spectacular coastal drive route heading north along the shore from Onna Village to Nago, in the resort area of Okinawa's west coast. In the morning, you're welcomed by the sounds of Eisa drums and sanshin at Ryukyu Village with its row of red-tiled traditional homes, then take in crystal-clear views from the observatory at Cape Maeda, famous for the Blue Cave. At lunch, enjoy food stall gourmet delicacies at Onna Station Nakayukui Market, such as sea grape rice bowls and island-style shaved ice. In the afternoon, walk the entire promenade of Manzamo, where the elephant-trunk-shaped cliff juts into the sea, then finish at Busena Marine Park. Peer through the round windows of the underwater observation tower to witness tropical fish swimming around coral reefs up close—like taking a walk beneath the sea without getting wet. Wrapped in shades of blue all day long, from emerald to cobalt, this course showcases the classic Okinawa resort experience.
