2026 Katao-nami Beach One-Day Full Experience Course
A full-day course that centers on Katao-nami Beach in Wakayama City (open from July 1 to August 31, 2026) and lets you enjoy the entire Wakayama-no-ura area. In the morning, touch on the history of the castle town at Wakayama Castle, then visit Kii-Miiji Temple where you can worship and enjoy the view overlooking the sea from the temple grounds. At noon, savor fresh seafood at Kuroshio Market at Wakayama Marina City, then finally head to Katao-nami Beach in the afternoon. At this shallow-water beach known as a scenic spot praised in the Man'yōshū (Collection of Ten Thousand Leaves), swimming is free, with changing lockers, showers, and AED equipment for peace of mind for families.
