2026 Oya Beach (大谷海水浴場) Full-Day Course

A one-day course starring Oya Beach (大谷海水浴場) in Kesennuma City, Miyagi Prefecture (宮城県気仙沼市), open from Saturday, July 18 to Sunday, August 23, 2026, with swimming hours from 9:00 to 16:00. In the morning, first visit Iwaisaki (岩井崎) and enjoy the unusual seaside rocks including the blowhole rock, along with a stroll in the sea breeze. After that, move to the seaside Oya Kaigan Roadside Station (道の駅大谷海岸) and have lunch while gazing at the sea from the large-roofed plaza. Once you have fueled up properly on local seafood and specialty dishes, the afternoon climax is sea bathing at Oya Beach. Swimming is free, and with paid showers, changing rooms, restrooms, a shop and a rest area all in place, plus lifeguards on duty, even families with small children can spend the day with peace of mind. Send up spray at the water's edge or play on the sand, and savor summer to the fullest until swimming ends at 16:00.
