2026 Ashikaga Watarase Water Park (足利渡良瀬ウオーターパーク), Watarase Beach (わたらせビーチ), Full-Day Course

A one-day course starring Watarase Water Park, Watarase Beach (わたらせビーチ), in Ashikaga City, which in 2026 operates on Saturday and Sunday, July 4 and 5, Saturday and Sunday, July 11 and 12, and then from Saturday, July 18 to Monday, August 31 (hours 10:00 to 12:30, closed every Thursday, but open on August 13 and 27). In the morning, walk the historic site of the Ashikaga School (足利学校), known as Japan's oldest school, and spend the cool hours before the heat sets in at neighboring Banna-ji Temple (鑁阿寺), gazing at the main hall and the great ginkgo. From just before noon, it is finally time for Watarase Beach (わたらせビーチ). The adjoining Eco Aal Green Plaza (エコアールグリーンプラザ) has changing rooms, so you can drop by casually without worrying about where to change. Admission is affordable at 220 yen for adults, 80 yen for junior high school students and younger, and free for preschoolers, which is easy on the wallet too. On the banks of the Watarase River (渡良瀬川), it is a summer outing perfect for families, offering both a historical stroll and water play in a single day.
